AI-Generated Art Wins at Colorado State Fair

Jason Allen’s painting ‘Théâtre D’opéra Spatial’ won first place in the competition. He used the artificial intelligence program Midjourney to create it. His prize included $300, but the controversy he’s sparked on whether AI-generated artwork should qualify has been fierce and gone around the world.
