ESPN Releases New Creative for the NHL’s Return

And not just any return — the NHL’s return to ESPN for the first time in 17 years. In the spot, The Walt Disney Company (owners of ESPN) and Fallon sought to “capture moments of storytelling in every hockey game — heartbreak, triumph, villains and heroes — to blend hockey and humanity in a way anyone can relate to, whether you’re a die-hard fan, casual watcher, or a bit of a band-wagoner.” Interesting they talk about Colorado fans watching hockey — since it hasn’t been all that possible with Altitude and Xfinity still wrestling it out. ESPN saves the day.
