Job Description: The Photographer/Videographer will shoot high-quality, compelling imagery & video footage for Skratch Labs’ marketing communications, including product photography, food photography, and lifestyle photography for campaigns, advertising, and social media content. To succeed in this role you will be highly creative and highly organized, as well as a team player.
About You: My favorite camera is any one that’s with me — be it a DSLR, a full-frame mirrorless, a vintage point & shoot film camera, or an iPhone. I have an eye for light and can seamlessly shoot in a studio or on-location. I am an expert at building out studios, lighting, and shooting high-volume product, food, and lifestyle photography. I’m excited to explore new locations and have connections with a diverse group of athletes to shoot lifestyle and action imagery with. I would be stoked to shoot with Skratch’s founder, Dr. Allen Lim, on a regular basis. I’m a team player, highly organized with digital asset management, and can run a photo shoot from pre to post production. I am experienced at videography and video editing. I am constantly learning to improve both my photo and video skills. I have worked with creative directors, value feedback, and can produce on-brand photography and video assets to creative brief specs efficiently and effectively, while hitting deadlines.

Skratch was founded by two pro cycling veterans who started mixing performance drink mixes with simple ingredients for the pros in hardware store buckets over 9 years ago. Responsibilities:
• Works both autonomously and collaboratively to create compelling Skratch Labs product & lifestyle photography including imagery for campaigns, promotions, packaging, ecommerce, social, and other needs as assigned
• Works with a Creative Lead to bring campaign ideas to life by providing imagery that compliments the typographic and graphic style being utilized
• Sets up and manages a photo studio space at Skratch Headquarters
• Manages pre & post production workflow and photo asset organization
• Leads talent sourcing, location scouting, contracts, and communication related to shoots
• Shoots & edits short-form videos as assigned
• Is a key contributing member of the Skratch Labs Marketing Team
• Is a resource for general creativity and brainstorming

• Must be willing to travel 10-15% of the year
Qualifications:
• Knowledge:
• Expert knowledge of photography
• Proficient with Canon DSLRs and full-frame mirrorless cameras
• Expert knowledge of lighting – studio & natural
• Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Capture One
• Skills and Abilities:
• Excels at creating compelling imagery
• Ability to plan, produce, shoot, edit, and organize photography & video content is a MUST
• Expert at shooting high-volume product, food, lifestyle, and studio photography
• Must be a team player
• Stays up to date on photo & video trends
• Education:
• AA or BA
• Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in photography, lighting, and production
• 2+ years of video experience preferred
Position Definitions:
• The Photographer/Videographer is a full-time salary position, based in Boulder Colorado, reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager.
• Hybrid in office and remote work policy where Skratch Labs employees will be in person in the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to foster connection and collaboration but the remaining days, work location, and schedule are flexible.
