Match MG is seeking an Account Director for our Boulder, CO office to work on multiple large, nationally recognized accounts. This position is responsible for being the main client contact on the brands assigned, providing these clients with strategic integrated marketing solutions, and fostering a strong relationship with the client at a more senior level. The Account Director must understand the client’s business challenges and define their strategic direction. The Account Director participates in a variety of projects, while remaining attune to business development opportunities with existing and new clients.
Responsibilities:
Manage the retention and growth of key clients and marketing projects
Key member of the senior team responsible for driving overall agency revenue and growth across multiple existing and new business clients; assist in new business initiatives including pitches
Senior point of contact for clients, providing innovative short and long term strategic marketing guidance, and ensuring strategies are being met on multiple on-going campaigns
Fully understand all aspects of the client’s business and the competitive business environment
As a senior client contact, interacts with clients on major issues and ensure client relationships are positive and growing, manage conflict, inciting discussions, and making difficult decisions
Manage an account team (size varies), cultivating role as a respected mentor, providing leadership, fostering team building, overseeing career-pathing
Ensure that you produce all client work with highest level of quality, on time, and on budget
Provide input into staffing plans and budgets
Provide strong and timely financial management of all client dockets
Leads strategic planning and brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas
Deliver superior client presentations
Represent the agency externally, via conferences and thought leadership
Deliver/manage several million in revenue/billings
Desired Skills and Experience:
Experiential Marketing experience required
Minimum 10+ years of experience in a client service role in an agency
Diverse client brand experience desired
Involvement in leading multiple integrated programs
Track record of building strong long term client relationships and building successful teams internally
Superior presentation skills with the ability to design and deliver a presentation with a creative flair
Demonstrated strong fiscal management skills, with P&L experience
Demonstrated strategic thinker with ability to help grow a business
Value teamwork and respect the contributions of all team members.
Must be able to effectively manage multiple clients / projects simultaneously
Ability to travel nationwide up to 50%
