Our preferred candidate can work on-site at our headquarters in Cortez, Colorado. We're open to remote work for the right Denver-based candidate.

What You'll Do
The Retail Marketing Manager plays a key role in driving brand awareness and sell-through by developing retail marketing strategies and programs that bring seasonal brand and product initiatives to life through key wholesale partners. This role functions as the point person for all retail-focused marketing initiatives, programs and partnerships as well as retail visual merchandising programs. The ideal candidate for this role has a strong understanding of the retail landscape and has demonstrated experience developing impactful marketing strategies – both for independent outdoor and bike channels as well as larger department and sporting goods outlets. Success in this role requires clear communications and someone who maintains and manages strong relationships with internal marketing, sales and product teams as well as external agencies, territory sales agencies and key dealers (buyers, marketing teams and management) to support programs aimed at increased sales and brand awareness.
Strategic Development
• Responsible for creation and execution of retail marketing programs for key dealers that are in sync with seasonal product launches
• Work directly with all Osprey national sales teams to ensure cohesive execution within their territories
• Work with Osprey international sales team to support Canadian retail marketing activities
• Collaborate with Osprey Europe retail marketing team to support global brand and product launch initiatives
• Manage tradeshow meetings with key accounts seeking marketing support
• Communicate regularly with retail marketing contacts
• Attend key account presentations during seasonal launches to develop marketing strategies that coincide with product launches
• Travel to trade and consumer events relevant to retail marketing
• Plays a pivotal role in the seasonal Go to Market planning process in conjunction with the marketing, product and sales teams as well as
• Work with in-house creative team, marketing director, and sales leadership to create powerful retail promotions that support brand positioning and drive sell-through
• Manage budget GL’s associated with retail marketing activity

Retail Marketing Toolkit Development and Maintenance
• Seasonal management of dealer resource tools – including vetting, implementing and managing DAM tools, digital retail training platform, Dealer Portal marketing messaging and dealer newsletters
• Work with Marketing team to create & produce physical collateral for in-store and online/digital presentations
• Utilize all marketing-developed resources to support retailers including video content, product images and copy
• Develop print, digital, in-store, event and training retail marketing tools that are scalable and sustainable

Fixture and Point-of-Sale Management
• Lead seasonal fixture and POS programs to elevate Osprey’s brand presence and new product launch campaigns at retail
• Manage retail fixture agency relationship through all aspects of fixture programs – from scope of work definition, concepting and testing, through global ordering and distribution
• Oversees budget, delivery and receipt of fixtures to our key accounts
• Work with sales team to develop fixture programs related to assortment buys
• Collaborate with KEY retail account visual merchandising teams to deliver custom displays where needed

Retail Staff Training Development Management
• Manage seasonal updates to PEAK – digital retail training platform
• Develop programs to incentivize rep and retailer engagement with retail training tools
• Responsible for web development, implementation and tracking key metrics of training programs
• Ensure communication of all training programs to reps, retailers and in-house customer service

Promotional Items
• Manages all aspects of swag programs that support retail marketing needs
• Conception, selection and design management of all swag retail items

Budget Management
• Create and maintain multiple budgets to support retail marketing activities
• Creates timelines for programs with retail partners and integrates these efforts into overall marketing timeline
• Maintain detailed record of all contracts and key account Co-op programs
What We Are Looking For
• Education: BA, MBA or equivalent education preferred
• Experience: At least 3-5 years retail marketing experience in outdoor, cycling, sporting goods and or equivalent experience. Relevant sales, retail, and marketing leadership important
• Passion for success of retail (independent and box)
• Product-focused, open-minded, strong communication, people-oriented, significant commitment
• Professionalism and company commitment is critical to the success of the Osprey Retail Marketing Manager
• Travel: Ability to travel as needed

• Pay Range: The Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers in the state of Colorado to disclose the following information. If the position applied to is not located in Colorado, the following information may not apply. Salary Minimum: $60,000/yr, Salary Maximum: $80,000/yr. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees
