Salary Range: $59,194.70 - $82,872.58 annually

Hiring Range: $59,194.70 - $71,033.64 annually

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for planning the development, creation, and dissemination of strategic digital communication that further enhances the City's brand and image, and advances the digital communication needs of various departments. The Digital Communication Supervisor reports directly to the Image and Brand Manager and directs the work of the e-Media Specialist and TV Production Specialist leveraging their expertise to curate, support, measure, and report digital initiatives across our multi-channel platforms. This position contributes to building and executing the City's digital communication strategy while working closely with the Communication Specialists to ensure all content is abiding by strategies and best practices in place including the ‘tone of voice’ required by the City’s brand. As a member of the C&E leadership team, this person is capable of a high degree of cross-functional communication and engagement coordination across the organization.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree gained through a four-year college/university academic program or specialized technical training of equivalent length in the field of digital media and/or communication and engagement.

No less than five to seven years of experience in 21st-century communication practices (i.e., digital media, marketing, communications, media relations, public engagement, brand management, or related fields.)

Three to five years of supervisory experience required.

Experience/ability to appear on TV as host of show or show segment and to fill in where needed for other TV talent.

Background knowledge in social media, advertising and marketing, and TV/video production are required.

Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Have the ability to organize and analyze data.

Experience with Still camera, video camera, lenses, lighting, microphones, backdrops, teleprompter, Leightronix.

Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.),

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, mobile creativity apps, social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.)

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Strong customer service skills and diplomacy.

Have strong conflict management abilities and demonstrate courage and adaptability.

Possess a high degree of adaptability to maintain a strong skill set in 21st Century communication and engagement practices specifically in digital communication trends.

Be proficient with social media and other communication solutions.

Possess the ability to conceptualize and execute a variety of messages across multiple platforms AND professionally respond as needed to comments.

Be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Easily adapt to the changing needs and circumstances of communications work

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Oversees digital content process and drives the development of timely, dynamic, unique, and interactive digital content that tells inspiring stories and compels action.

Leads {coordinates, plans, executes, and measures} digital content development across all channels for the City's Image Campaign, City Council, the City Manager's Office, public service announcements, and special video projects as requested.

Works in collaboration on the City's image campaign to advance the goals of the campaign.
Maintains an editorial and event calendar to incorporate content into digital platforms when necessary.

Manages GTV8 - Greeley's cable access channel by scheduling, coordinating, and overseeing budget and operations including storyboarding, scripting, and set design/work of all GTV 8 content (Producer role).

Serves as host or co-host for all GTV8 programming, fulfills voice-over responsibilities, and supports all other GTV8 operational needs.

Ensures all GTV8 content follows brand standards and ensures COG brand and image integrity.

Oversees the PEG (Designated Fund) including managing capital needs - equipment needs and upgrades; follows the specified appropriation process and ensures accountability for all necessary finance practices; and oversees the Grant Funding process for supported local PEG channels.

Oversees the disputer resolution process for the GTV8 channel with Comcast/Xfinity Customer Service

Oversees the social media and digital campaign tracking and reporting to confirm we are meeting goals and objectives while providing solutions to enhance strategies.

Works to establish a regular reporting rhythm to assess COG social media engagement.

Ensures department staff are kept apprised of emerging platforms and technologies as well as ensures best practices are being implemented and updated on a regular basis.

Works closely with Communication Specialists to develop and execute an editorial calendar for e-newsletters, blogs, and other communication sources while ensuring the content style, tone, and voice of the brand are consistent.

Supports the operational needs of the department by flexing oversight and roles/responsibilities to meet the needs of the city including creating and/or implementing communication plans and materials; writing, editing, and proofing City communications and marketing materials/messages as needed; contributes to the development of and helps support community events, initiatives, and various programs.

Supports Public Information/Communications and Engagement strategies in the event of emergencies or other needs. Staffs the EOC as necessary and supports PIO needs.
