Position: Front-End Developer
Location: Denver
Status: Freelance/Part Time
Estimated Duration: Open ended
Starts: June / July 2018
Availability: Monday – Friday 8:00 - 5:00
Rate: $35-$50 per hour / Negotiable depending on experience
We are looking for an experienced and passionate WordPress Developer for a freelance to potential part-time opportunity. As a WordPress Developer at In2, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins.
WordPress Developer Duties and Responsibilities
• Designing and implementing new features and functionality
• Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture
• Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
• Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
• Developer will work on existing websites for a variety of clients under In2
• Projects will include new site development, enhancing existing sites, and maintaining / updating, bug fixes and support.
WordPress Developer Requirements and Qualifications
• Expert understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git and SVN)
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
• Developers with Email, Drupal and Magento experience may have the opportunity to work on additional client projects
For the most part this position will be off site work and with a potential to meet Denver/Boulder for project kickoffs and check-ins.
