Job Description:
The Graphic Design intern will support the Design Director from conceptual design through execution across projects including branding, identity, print collateral, infographics, websites, packaging and environmental graphics. This position has the potential to become full time for the right candidate.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Responsible for contributing to the quality of execution, including situations where projects are driven by state mandates or very strict parameters.
• Responsible for personal time management on projects; understanding the budgeted time, internal & external deadlines.
• Set up press-ready files, confer with vendors. Review and approve proofs, attend press runs. Learn to set up interactive files, confer with developers.
• Critical design thinking and problem solving - see a concept through the creative process to completion.
• Review own work for errors / inconsistencies, learning quickly from mistakes.
• Ask questions to elevate understanding of a project.
• Gain a strong understanding of the client and target audience and why a solution works / doesn’t work for that audience while offering the best creative and innovative solutions.
• Positive and precise communication skills with the team, both verbally and written.
• Participation in brainstorms.
• Organization and maintenance of project materials including design files within project folders, samples and photographing of design projects.

Qualifications/​Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, or currently enrolled in a Graphic Design program graduating in the next year
• Strong interest in design process.
• Ability to present / sell concepts & design to team.
• Good production skills in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Interest in architecture is a plus.
