I'm a recovered photojournalist who as transitioned from visual news gathering to visual story telling. I've been a photojournalist since 1993. Hung that up about 2 years ago to pursue less restrictive forms of photography. What I mean by less restrictive is that as a news photographer, you couldn't control the outcome of what was happening. You reacted and captured. Doing non-news is allows me to try new things and techniques that I couldn't do at news photographer. My roots are strong though and my photography is truly about telling stories. From portraits to narratives, it's all about finding that story in the face, place, person or company.
