By The Denver Egotist / / Yakoda Supply is the first brand launched out of Good Apples in Boulder. Over the past seven years, Good Apples has helped its clients successfully build and launch brands, products and services. They felt it was time to do the same for themselves. Justin Fuller, the Creative Director and co-founder of Good Apples, has been fly fishing for years. About three years ago, he got Dan Storch — Good Apples’ Director of Operations and co-founder — into the sport. Since then, the two have been finding nearly every excuse to get out onto the trout rivers in Colorado. During trips to many of their favorite spots, they began recognizing that some of their gear was over engineered for their purposes and saw an opportunity to create products they felt were missing from the fishing experience. Marrying their professional skills with a deep love of fly fishing, Dan and Justin set out to create straightforward, simple, durable products designed for local excursions and week-long adventures. That effort brought the recent launch of Yakoda Supply and its first product, The Drifter Gear Transport. Yakoda Supply partnered with Buck Ross productions to film and launch their first brand video, and going a step further, have entered into a relationship with the production company as an exclusive film partner. Together, they are excited to bring a spotlight to fly fishing in Colorado. But, don’t worry. No secret spots will be shared. You’ve got to hang out with the crew to get to those.
