COGRID-19 : Denver

COGRID-19 is a personal project project Jason Rothman has been working on since March of 2020. It is a series of risograph prints created to raise money for those most affected by the pandemic. The project brings together 19 artists from a city, each contributing to a shared grid. The collected works are a commentary on the public health crisis and the racial, political and environmental issues that have overtaken our country. Every penny raised will be donated to worthy organizations leading the efforts to help those in need. COGRID-19 has just launched a Denver grid. All proceeds go to The Colorado Coalition.

“It was obviously a strange and scary time for everyone and many designers were looking for ways to use their powers for good,” said Jason. “This was mine. Since then, we’ve brought together 190 artists in 10 cities and raised over $10,000 for charities in those cities. It’s really become a timeline for the tumultuous times we’ve lived through over the past 2 years, not only the pandemic, but the political, racial and cultural reckoning that have become our new reality,” he continued.

The Denver grid is built from the work of 19 Denver-based designers : Guest curator Alissandra Seelaus.
