Into Crowdfunding? Firstbank Thinks You Could Give Money Better.

New advertising this season from FirstBank aimed to build donations for “Colorado Gives Day” (this year occurring on December 10) — on which Coloradans were urged to support any of the hundreds of Colorado local nonprofits registered with coloradogives.org. The campaign was created by TDA_Boulder with no commercial objective other than local public service.

Rather than describe all the deserving causes to which one might give, the campaign focus is on rather undeserving charity recipients, including the author of“Emoji Dick” and the Griz Coat. After proudly describing their completed projects, the entrepreneurs reluctantly admit what a good many viewers might already be thinking: that they could probably find more useful and more worthy causes to give their money to.
