Some have questioned whether the whole stunt was fake and that Sotheby’s was in on it. This new director’s cut of the video should prove it was a surprise to everyone who was there, except for the one guy pushing the shred button. It also reveals that the stunt only partially worked because the original intent was to destroy the entire painting, not have it only partially shred the work.
