Cultivator is a 19-year-old advertising and design firm based in Denver. Our background is diverse, but we are best known for our work with iconic consumer lifestyle brands. We work with brands who believe in the art of the well made – brands that care deeply about what they make and want everything they do to reflect it.
We’re currently looking for a UX / UI Designer to join our team. Agency experience is a plus, but not required.
Skills and Experience
• Fluency and expertise in best practices for information architecture and responsive design, as well as deep and broad knowledge of usability principles and techniques
• Extensive working knowledge of digital design and a strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, Javascript and CSS) and their impact on UI
• Exceptional visual design skills
• Holistic conceptual design thinking around non-digital customer experience touch points
• Ability to solve complex interactions and demonstrate a high level of critical thinking skills
• Solid understanding of interaction design principles and ability to articulate and justify design decisions
• Excellent communication skills with ability to effectively and articulately present work to internal and client teams
• Proactive problem solver with ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide and receive constructive criticism
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite — Photoshop / InDesign / Illustrator
• Advanced knowledge of digital design software, including Sketch and InVision
Responsibilities
• Work with brand, creative, and technical teams to define and document requirements, overall user experience vision on projects, and develop strategic and creative solutions to meet business and marketing objectives
• Design innovative, cohesive and intuitive front-end user interfaces
• Design and develop functional specifications, wireframes, style guides, prototypes and hi-fidelity design comps
• Lead internal and client presentations
