Position Summary

The University of Denver seeks applications for the position of Community Giving and Marketing Coordinator. This is a unique opportunity for a talented professional to join a dynamic, growing and purposeful enterprise united around a compelling mission charted by Chancellor Rebecca Chopp and Vice Chancellor for Advancement Armin Afsahi.

The Community Giving and Marketing Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Lead Marketing & Community Activation within the Creative Engagement team. This position will support three key areas:

Conversion - supporting all Creative Engagement Lead Marketing and Community Activation programs with their lead conversion needs including those related to multi-channel giving campaigns, giving days, telephone, and stewardship.
Program Coordination - assisting with and monitoring website/landing page content, facilitating communications and timelines for digital philanthropy campaigns (including crowdfunding projects where needed), trafficking ad hoc projects, supporting channel strategy and meeting campus/internal-requests, may include vendor management.
Reporting & Analytics - facilitating regular monthly reporting for the Advancement team and our campus partners, and collaborating with team members to meet team and University goals.

The Coordinator will support strong partnerships with on-campus stakeholders, vendors and others. This employee must be able to multi-task successfully and plan their work well, as they may often encounter competing timelines and deadlines.

Essential Functions

Program Support:

Supports the operational aspects of the Lead Marketing and Community Activation team, as part of the larger Creative Engagement function, including planning, executing and measuring integrated multi-channel conversion campaigns, day of giving planning and support, campus community campaigns, and working with the Director to ensure key deadlines are met. Creates regular reporting for the Director to measure key performance indicators.
Coordinates the day-to-day interaction with the student call center including data coordination.
Collaborates with the Lead Marketing and Community Activation team on innovative peer-to-peer giving projects and programs. Assists in coordinating with internal and external vendors and with unit-based engagement officers, fundraisers and others, as needed for lead marketing and community activation campaigns.

Team Support:

Assist in project/task management tracking and trafficking across internal team, vendor, and campus partners.
Develop weekly updates based on emerging trends, best in class case studies, new technologies, and creative marketing campaigns.
Consistently seek efficiencies and recommend solutions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
1 year of professional experience in account management/project management
Experience with fundraising or sales, including annual giving, alumni relations, stewardship, and/or donor recognition.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.
3 year of professional experience, preferably in an agency or corporate setting

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Evenings and weekends as required.
