JOB DESCRIPTION: SENIOR COPYWRITER
Inspirato is seeking a Senior Copywriter to help bring the Inspirato brand to life through world-class storytelling. The ideal candidate has strong creative writing skills, an outside-the-box approach and a passion for attention to detail. In addition, an advertising agency background and a healthy obsession of witty headlines is desired.This position will report directly to the Vice President, Brand Strategy and be an integral part of the company’s brand and content team.
Must have a passion for the travel and the luxury marketplace. You enjoy working collaboratively with other teams to ensure communications meet business objectives. You bring enthusiasm and energy to your role every day and use it to fuel unique and original ideas. You’re as comfortable concepting brand campaigns and headlines as you are crafting email campaigns, and writing long and short form copy for the website.
REPORTS TO: Vice President, Brand Strategy
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develops new creative ways to communicate key messages.
• Develops video scripts and storylines.
• Collaborates with Design team to meet specific project objectives.
• Produces original, clear and credible copy and is accountable for the final development of creative assets.
• Ensures accuracy, attention to details and overall meets or exceeds the writing objectives.
• Ensures brand guidelines and directives are embraced and adhered to in all executions.
• Executes writing requests with accuracy, producing zero errors in work (all client edits are implemented correctly, spell check was run, facts were confirmed).
• Responds to all requests and communications in a timely and thorough manner.
• Works to improve the team’s overall performance and embraces a collaborative approach.
• Edits and proofreads material as demand and scheduling requires.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree and seven or more years of consumer copywriting experience preferably within an agency setting
• Strong written and verbal communication and creative writing skills.
• Experience in both traditional media and digital/social copywriting.
• A track record for developing and executing concepts that drive clear customer action.
• Discipline to meet deadlines and high creative standards while balancing multiple projects and resources in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with internal partners and leaders throughout the organization.
• Energetic and passionate, with infinite self-motivation and a tireless work ethic.
• Ability to explain and present your work during reviews and team meetings.
• Dedicated team player willing to pitch-in on projects outside your regular tasks.
• A passion and an attention for detail.
• Experience writing for an affluent audience is preferred.
• Fluency in AP style.
