Looking for an experienced and passionate Wordpress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of both back-end and front-end development, including creating custom Wordpress themes and plugins. This position would be part-time, and project based at approximately 20 hours per week. Ideally the candidate would work on-site to collaborate with the development team.
Developer duties and responsibilities:
• Designing and implementing new features and functionality
• Establishing and guiding website architecture and user experience
• Ensuring high-performance and availability, managing all technical aspects of the Wordpress install
• Formulating effective, responsive design and building it into a working theme and plugin.
Requirements and qualifications:
• Must have at least 4+ years of Wordpress development experience and a strong understanding of the following:
• Front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery
• Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
• Experience with designing and developing responsive design websites
• Ability to convert comprehensive layouts and wireframes into working HTML
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues
Nice-to-Haves:
• Familiarity with either Bootstrap or Foundation Frameworks
• Version control systems (GIT preferred)
• Pre-compiled CSS (SASS preferred)
