We particularly excel at networking, marketing execution, and developing effective strategies to reach our clients’ target audience.

As Marketing Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing the comprehensive marketing needs of ROOT’s exciting list of clients. This includes, but is not limited to: relationship management, executing marketing strategies, brand development activities, campaign creation and execution, partnership development, thought leadership, copywriting, content marketing, and possibly some graphic design, social media management, and public relations work.

You will help identify potential clients and assisting in client acquisition as needed. You will also help identify any current client’s needs and secure additional business accordingly. You will disseminate project and reporting tasks to the ROOT Account Coordinator/Administrative Assistant and work directly with Founder Kuvy Ax on project approval. As such, you are expected to have a deep understanding of each clients’ bottom-line goals and objectives.

This position is a part-time contract position with the opportunity for transition to full-time contract.

Typical Marketing Account Manager duties include:

Act as the main point of contact throughout the client’s lifecycle: proposals and pitching, define success plan with clear deliverables, execute marketing strategies, reporting
Gain and maintain deep familiarity with the client's product, services, competition, and market through research, focus groups, deep dive assessments, and other methods
Write copy for client marketing materials and presentations
Be able to identify brand personas and unique core messaging to reach those personas
Create and distribute valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and retain a clearly defined audience
Effectively align, track, and evolve client marketing goals
Identify when outside contractors are needed, such as for website design or photography, then obtain approval and project manage through execution
Proactive thinking to help identify opportunities that position us as strategic partner
Manage public relations and social media accounts for clients when necessary
Represent clients at events on occasion
Set up meetings with clients and other agency staff
Disseminate and manage projects with the Account Coordinator/Administrative Assistant for tracking media hits, reporting, creating custom PR contact lists, and other client projects
Manage and monitor the effectiveness of campaigns through regular check-ins and end of month reporting
Deliver an exceptional client experience with proactive communication
Accountable for client’s overall success
Close the loop on assignments and notify Kuvy when action items are complete

Qualifications include:

Minimum of 3-5 years marketing experience required
Prior agency experience strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar field
Experience with PR and Social Media Marketing a plus
Positive outlook and go-getter attitude
Some knowledge of the food industry, particularly restaurants and/or natural foods
Excellent communication and copywriting skills
High level of organization and attention to detail
Ability to juggle multiple clients simultaneously
Ability to work in a small, entrepreneurial culture
Ability to work remotely and independently
Ability to remain flexible
Exceptional time management skills
Strong work ethic, self-motivated
Professional conduct within and outside the agency
Proficient with Google Drive, Google Calendars, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with Wordpress, Squarespace, Adobe Creative Suite, and CRM platforms a plus
