We are looking for talented graphic designers for our Fall/Winter 2021 internship from September thru January at The18.com in Boulder, Colorado. The ideal candidate is someone who can create visual content for use in social media, on our website and as part of written stories and videos. We’re looking for someone active in social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) and excited about creating fun visual content – photos, memes, art, infographics, etc. – that drive engagement. This internship will offer the creative freedom to identify and execute entertaining, original concepts that can stand alone in social media and to work with our editorial staff to contribute visual content to stories and videos. This work will be published to our large and growing audience in social media and on our website at The18.com. We currently reach 15M+ people per month across platforms.
Qualifications
We are looking for an entrepreneurial-minded, positive and hard-working person.
This intern will work closely with the full team. We share the space with a full-service advertising agency, so there is also the opportunity to interact with the agency team including designers, developers, copywriters, strategy, and PR professionals.
To be considered for the position, candidates must:
Have past experience (personal or professional) with graphic design and art
Demonstrate superior design skills
Be proficient with graphic design programs (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud)
Excel in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Work with an entrepreneurial mindset, approaching tasks flexibly and with creativity
Have strong knowledge of designing engaging content for social media
Ideally, candidates will be passionate about soccer – even if they are relatively new to the sport.
Hours and days will be flexible based on the individual’s schedule, but we're looking for roughly 20 hours per week. This position offers a paid stipend.
