ABOUT ONE K CREATIVE:
One K Creative is a boutique creative studio, specializing in telling stories of social change. Combining writing, photography, filmmaking, and graphic design, we create compelling content to expand an organization’s reach and increase their social impact. From our headquarters in Boulder, CO we serve clients around the world, including maternal health organizations in Asia, coffee cooperatives in Africa, education programs in Latin America, and organic food companies in our own backyard. We are a passionate team of creatives, working resourcefully and collaboratively across mediums to help our clients create social change.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are currently recruiting a graphic designer with technical expertise, resourceful creativity, and social impact experience. We are looking for a passionate professional interested in joining our team and growing our studio. The position will work closely with our creative director, will collaborate with our developer and filmmaker, and will be expected to manage client accounts. This role will be responsible for leading the design of diverse client projects, creating content for our own brand, as well as identifying creative solutions to client projects in light of the limited resources available to the nonprofits and start-up social enterprises that we serve. Projects will include branding, illustration, layout, and web work, both print and digital expertise required. The right candidate for the position will have 3-5 years of design expertise and they will be interested in joining a small team rather than simply juggling freelance gigs. Most importantly, this individual will have an unwavering passion for social and environmental justice.
EXPERIENCE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Professional or volunteer experience with social enterprises and/or nonprofit organizations
Front end development, competency in HTML / CSS
Drawing and Illustration skills
Print and digital design expertise
Branding and identity building
Technical expertise in Adobe software (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator especially)
Strong creative problem solver for start up and nonprofit clients with limited budgets
Demonstrated ability to work with outside vendors
Strong internal and external communication skills
Project management experience
Client relations, recruitment, and retention
Must be able to work remotely and still meet hard deadlines
