We are seeking a full-time Video Editor & Videographer to support the capture, editing, and delivery of Sounds True’s video content, in addition to our live event and live streaming efforts.

Responsibilities:
-Editing videos for digital offerings and video content
-Online courses and summits
-Marketing videos for book launches
-Marketing videos for digital offerings
-Ensuring Sounds True standards are met
-Motion graphics animation on design elements for video production
-Acting as Tech Director for a variety of video products
-Online courses and summits
-Marketing videos
-Video podcasts
-Live sessions
-Webinars
-Managing review and approval of edited content with the support of the Video Team Lead/Production Manager
-Communicating directly with producers on content needs and requests
-Project management software task managing
-Managing workload against deadlines
-Flagging scheduling issues
-Camera operation and assisting with setting up video equipment for shoots
-In-studio video sessions
-On-location event recordings
-Marketing shoots (in-studio and on-location)
-Media management through all stages of production including overseeing the Sounds True video archive
-Adherence to folder structure and file naming conventions
-Ensuring content is stored on-site safely with a redundancy
-Ensuring footage is recorded with a redundancy
-Archiving older products, inclusive of file compressions and metadata tagging
-Working with the video department specialist on media archive management
-Compliance with Sounds True company guidelines for content retention and archiving
-Fielding video file requests
-Un-archiving files
-Re-editing older files
-Managing file delivery with requesting party
-Studio equipment fluency
-Become extremely familiar with how all of Sounds True’s video equipment functions
-Be able to troubleshoot equipment issues on the fly and under pressure
-Long hours over multiple evenings and weekend hours required during production
-Skill and professionalism when working with occasionally challenging authors/subject matter experts
-Ability to carry larger equipment cases (30lbs or less)
-Ability to work with/carry oversized and awkward equipment (15lbs or less)

Qualifications/Recommended Skills:
-Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, but not required
-3-5 years experience with the video post-production process and media formats
-Previous experience with pre-production planning and comfortable with working on video sets
-Must be proficient with video editing platforms, specifically Adobe Premiere and After Effects
-Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills
-Skilled in motion graphics and ability to create/animate title slides and infographics
-Must reside in Colorado and be able to commute to the Sounds True office to be able to run in-house studio sessions and work on-site
-Must be available for occasional travel for out-of-state work
-Highly proficient at managing and meeting deadlines
-Have aptitude for prioritizing multiple demands/tasks at once
-Have a genuine interest and connection to the mission of Sounds True
