This full-time position specializes in layout using InDesign software. The primary focus is on producing the organization’s peer-reviewed scientific journal using an InDesign-generated template. The expectation is that eight journal issues, approx. 200 pages each, will be published on-line and in print annually from prepared text and figures and tables submitted by authors. In addition, the position is responsible for layout of four shorter publications (approx. 60 p. each) annually, and other less frequent book-length publications. Various smaller, occasional tasks include creating one-page ads, interactive forms, and working with and billing advertisers for the short publications. Generally, the position works on-site in Littleton, Colorado, reports to the managing editor, and works with editorial and other staff members. We are looking for a candidate who enjoys routine but doesn’t mind breaking up the day, as needed.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in page layout using InDesign software is preferred
• Familiarity with various graphics applications (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) is expected
• Ability to multi-task and dependability are important assets
