Rowdy Mermaid is seeking a Sr. Designer to join the Rowdy marketing team based at our Boulder, CO office. In this role you will lead creative ideation, art direction and design execution and production. With a deep understanding of Rowdy Mermaid’s brand vision, personality and design aesthetic, your creative point of view and technical skills will elevate the brand and drive demand across all channels for current and future products. You will steward the visual look and feel across all touchpoints, including packaging design, web, email, digital ads, social content, sales collateral and presentations, print, experiential, trade shows, influencer, OOH and retail merchandising. The ideal candidate has experience and expertise in minimalist, clean design and design principles, is insatiably curious, and can translate that curiosity into highly engaging content. Resourceful, entrepreneurial mindset with dedicated approach to creative excellence. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
DESIGN
● Build upon and elevate existing design guidelines and ensure all creative is true to the brand and flawlessly produced and executed
● Bring a strong visual artistry to the brand. Design and create all visual assets including web, email, blog, digital, social, in-store POP, print, OOH, influencer, trade shows, experiential, packaging, photography, videography, sales collateral, merchandise/swag and BOD and sales presentations
● Manage end-to-end design process from briefing to execution, leading the visual design direction and implementation (including oversight of any third-party photography or video partners).
● Lead the design and creation of new product concept mockups
● Review work of internal and external creative teams, providing feedback as the key design stakeholder

CONTENT CREATION
● In collaboration with the Marketing Manager, own the content ideation, development and engagement for all social media channels
● Gather, design, photograph (or work with outside photographers) to develop content for social (both organic and paid)
● Create new social campaigns for existing channels, and ideate for new channels
● Plan social content 60-days out working in collaboration with Marketing Manager on copy captions
● Conceptualize, draft and deliver content for website blog and email newsletters

DESIGN VISION KEEPER
● Bring creative consistency for the brand across all touchpoints
● Communicate and inspire creative excellence across the organization
● Ensure quality control is in place for final creative designs and projects
● Provide updates to senior leadership as required
● Organize all brand assets including but not limited to logos, design files (native and PDF), photos, videos and more

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
● Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Industrial Design, Pack Design or Communication Arts
● 5+ years’ experience with B2C design working at a creative agency or brand creative team
● Strong design program skills, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Sketch) in a Mac-based environment as well as working with Asana or similar project management software tools
● Experience designing email creative using Klaviyo
● Exceptional portfolio demonstrating ability to art direct and design across mediums and platforms
● Ability to concept design solutions with limited direction and tight timelines when necessary
● Working knowledge of dielines and print file preparation
● Flexible with the willingness to support our marketing and sales team delivering quick turnarounds if necessary; adaptable to fast-paced, changing project priorities
● Excellent organization and attention to detail
● Experience reviewing project proposals, SOWs and adhering to project budgets

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
● Passion and experience with functional chilled beverages and CPG
● Has a love for natural products, keeps pace with the industry, and champions brands
● Experience with a high-growth emerging brand
● An eye and appreciation of Nordic minimalism design

Salary: $80,000 to $90,000
Candidate resides in Denver/Boulder metro area
