Job Overview

You will be the ‘voice of the customer’ responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies and plans that best communicate our product benefits, strengthen our brand and boost sales. You’ll work closely with product, engineering and sales to help manage the product roadmap as well as internal and external communications relating to product and feature releases.

We are looking for someone that is creative, perceptive, has great business acumen, and direct experience marketing to a clinical audience. You must be comfortable with new technology, as you’ll be expected to use and be proficient on multiple Virtual Reality hardware options. We are a startup, so if you are not comfortable with change, taking initiative, and producing quickly this is not the position for you.

Responsibilities

Study company and competitor products.

Follow and analyze market trends to position products.

Work with product team to help outline product positioning.

Translate the product’s features and technical specs into relevant value proposition, customer-specific benefits and proof points.

Develop product marketing strategies (pricing, launch plan, advertising).

Write compelling copy for different collateral types and audiences.

Test marketing product features and ad messaging.

Work with the Demand Manager and our marketing agency to implement advertising and ensure creative and messaging alignment of landing pages, ads, emails, and other product assets.

Create appropriate product training, messaging, and assets to enable the sales team.

Evaluate projects using relevant KPIs and feedback from existing and prospective customers.

Analyze sales data and channel information and then create plans to improve product line sales using marketing and sale techniques.

Attend tradeshow, field sales events, or research opportunities as needed. Travel up to 30%.

Skills

Extensive knowledge of product marketing technologies, processes, and best practices.

Experience with market research and competitive analysis.

Have existing frameworks and processes for bringing a product to market.

A natural aptitude for understanding and interpreting clinical information.

Ability to work independently and manage initiatives from concept to completion.

Strong strategic, conceptual, and analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.

High adaptability and flexibility, including the ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change.

Strong training, presentation and written communication skills.

A good listener, able to take in lots of information and data points and extrapolate key information.

Ability to consult and provide product messaging and nurture guidance to non-specialists.

Ability to multi-task and manage multiple products/projects simultaneously

Ability to work and communicate with diverse personalities and skill sets.

Ability to communicate effectively and report up to executive team.

Are open, honest and have a sense a humor.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years proven experience in product marketing.

Must have at least 2 years directly marketing to EMS and/or hospital.

Ideally we’d love a candidate with direct EMS product experience. Medical credentials including EMT, Paramedic, RN, RT are also plus.

Demonstrated success in positioning and launching differentiated products that met or exceeded business objectives.

Experience in market analysis and customer research

Familiar with product marketing tactics (e.g. integrated marketing campaigns)

Working knowledge of sales and marketing CRM and analytics solutions specifically Salesforce and Hubspot.

Must be comfortable with new technology. Experience with AR/VR is a plus.

Must have experience working with outside marketing agency.

SaaS and/or startup experience is a plus.
