Fjällräven is in search of a Jr. Graphic Designer to join our team in Louisville, CO. We have an immediate opportunity for a Jr. Graphic Designer with at least 2+ years of design experience or equivalent education to design for our brand. The Jr. Graphic Designer will work directly with our team of Senior Designers, Content Manager, VP of Brand Experience and Director of Marketing to help communicate the overall brand look and feel for Fjällräven in all areas of marketing communication. The Jr. Graphic Designer will be paramount in executing brand directives in print, digital, web, social, email, trade and various other projects on an as needed basis. This role will rely heavily on production of materials, making sure files are print ready, to scale, with callouts, etc. to ensure proper execution. The Jr. Graphic Designer will take existing and new creative from Senior Designers and execute production in all areas. The Jr. Graphic Designer will work collectively with the design and marketing teams to create assets consistent with the trends and needs of the brand.

This is a full-time, in-house position with a competitive benefits package.

Job Requirements

// BFA, BA, or BS degree in Design, or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
// 2+ years of experience as a graphic designer in a creative department; in-house preferred.
// Premium brands and/or soft goods graphic experience a plus.
// Strong knowledge of design, product, and consumer trends in the active lifestyle and outdoor industry.
// Understanding of creative process, production, design process a must.
// Keen ability to trend research and encompass a full understanding of the outdoor market.
// Ability to create mood boards and any visual tools to use in presentations.
// Ability to communicate with various teams to create individually appealing product and collateral materials.
// Strong knowledge of materials, graphic production processes, and manufacturing processes.
// Knowledge of photography basics and awareness of color-correction, cropping, photo selection a plus.
// Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite and familiar with a wide range of various design, web and multimedia software including all Microsoft products.
// Well organized, with the ability to prioritize workloads, often to tight deadlines and manage multiple proprieties.
// Production of materials, making sure files are print ready, to scale, with callouts, etc. to ensure proper execution.
// Keen understanding of Swedish design sensibility and POV.
// Skilled collaborator. Works well with others with the ability to build trust with the team and work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment.
// Strong desire to learn and work in the outdoor industry.
// Some domestic travel required.
