The Digital Media Planner/Buyer at Amelie participates in all aspects of digital media campaigns including planning, implementation, monitoring, optimization, analysis and reporting for a diverse set of non-profit and government clients. S/he finds the most efficient ways to reach or exceed the client’s business goals in conjunction with the greater media strategy. Strong analytical thinking skills, the ability to multi-task and attention to detail are mandatories.

Reports to the media strategist.

Responsibilities
• Understands and can clearly explain web-based advertising options to client service team members and to clients
• Stays abreast of industry trends and emerging digital media opportunities
• Utilizes research to develop target audience and digital media recommendations
• Provides guidance, logic, and rationale for all media decisions across digital media opportunities, including ways in which they can be connected with offline media
• Develops digital media plans for multiple clients based on overall media strategy, goals and objectives; responsible for all aspects of planning from vendor selection through negotiation, contracting, and implementation
• Coordinates media buying and media tracking with outside paid media vendors
• Acts as ad ops on a small media team and coordinates set up, management and reporting related to in-house ad server
• Understand various tracking services and can track campaigns for reporting purposes according to client KPIs
• Responsible for digital campaign results for relevant accounts
• Mentors junior team
• Leverage and maintain strong relationships with vendors

Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum 3+ years of digital marketing experience, primarily as digital media planner/buyer
• Current knowledge of trends and innovations in traditional and digital media
• Ability to plan campaigns involving a variety of digital tactics including display, mobile, tablet, retargeting, native, digital radio and advanced television (including connected TV).
• Familiarity with different types of buying such as audience targeting, lookalike modeling, search retargeting, etc
• Experience implementing digital campaigns in DoubleClick Manager (DCM) ad server
• Ability to implement pixels necessary for website tracking
• Experience with software tools for monitoring and reporting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel used specifically for manipulating large amounts of data, pivot tables, report creation
• Self-starter with strong multi-tasking skill, close attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
• Strong written and verbal communication including the ability to write in a clear and concise manner and organizes ideas logically and sequentially
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word
• Familiarity with Google Analytics
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field

Not required, but encouraged
• Familiarity with online tools such as Comscore, Nielsen or Google AdPlanner
• Experience presenting in front of clients
• Familiarity with offline media concepts
• Ability to work under pressure
• Knowledge of Keynote
• Desire to work with greater good messaging and behavior-change campaigns
