Junior Copywriter (12-month CONTRACT), Marketing (0-2 years experience)

What You Will Do
You will be responsible for consistently enforcing and elevating the overall brand voice and tone for Altra Running, from digital communications (like email, organic social, paid media, and website content) to retail signage, and video, and more. You’ll create easy-to-understand narratives across all channels. You will collaborate closely with Brand Creative, eCommerce, and Marketing teams to develop best-in-class copy to support business priorities and strategy.

How You Will Make a Difference
• Work directly with Sr Copywriter to effectively communicate Altra Running’s brand voice and tone consistently across a variety of consumer-facing channels.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Brand Creative, and eCommerce teams to develop and communicate brand positioning, seasonal narratives, and product stories.
• Be or become a product expert to help consumers understand the “why” behind our brand, products, benefits, and technologies.
• Write creative but succinct copy for email, social, microsites, retail, and more.
• Work with cross-functional partners to understand seasonal product lines and emerging technologies.
• Help differentiate our products through effective but engaging product-driven storytelling.

What You Bring
• 0-2 years copywriting experience, bonus if experience in footwear and/or outdoor industries.
• A portfolio or student book that showcases a strong grasp of brand voice/tone across a variety of channels and audience types.
• Solid understanding of digital experiences and how to write for each channel (i.e., email, social media, paid media, wholesale, website, etc.).
• Ability to work in a high-volume, quick-turn collaborative environment.
• Passion for running and the outdoors—in all forms.
• A desire to learn, grow and be a part of something bigger (like a small-but-mighty copy team).
• Extreme attention to detail and a “less is more” approach to copywriting.
