Who you are:

Are you an email marketing professional, who also has extensive Wordpress website skills? Do you love design and finding the perfect way to wordsmith your copy? Do you stay up to date on email marketing and SEO best practices? Are you creative, resourceful and always thinking about how to make your marketing better?

If you have extensive experience with Mailchimp and Wordpress, if you have organizational skills and an attention to detail that is the envy of your peers, and if you have a passion for constantly improving and optimizing marketing strategies then SBS is looking for you.

As our Digital Marketing Specialist you will put all your digital passion to good use by helping to implement our inbound marketing strategy. You will own SBS email marketing including our email lead nurturing implementation, own our Wordpress website including lead generation and SEO, and will be a critical contributor to the success of our global brand and communications strategy.

What you’ll do for us:

Reporting to the Global Communications and Brand Manager, the Digital Marketing Specialist is a critical new role in our organization because s/he will be the spark for our lead generation channels, including email, paid ads, optimizing our website through best practices, increasing visibility, and contributing to increasing revenue from both programs and philanthropy activities.

In this highly collaborative role you will build efficient, beautiful, and responsive webpages optimized to support the customer journey and lead generation. You will fully own the website, its performance, integrating plugins, optimizing content for performance, customer journey and lead generation. You will establish analytics for sales and marketing with a focus toward ROI and revenue growth.

Own and manage the Street Business School website:

Develop, update, and optimize the organization’s website on Wordpress.
Serve as the lead developer on the SBS website using a blend of back-end and front-end skills.
Build and administer high performing landing pages.
Grow organic website traffic and increase email conversions.
Manage WordPress plugins – Yoast, Gravity Forms, WP Forms, etc.
Implement proper web standards for web, like meta tags, URL structures, backlinks, security, images, and videos.
Develop and implement a website campaign calendar.
Monitor performance of website and build reports for analysis and optimization.
Maintain regulatory compliance.

Own and manage SBS’s Email Marketing:

Build and execute all email marketing campaigns in Mailchimp, including content creation, scheduling, optimization and reporting.
Collaborate on strategy and business goal alignment then independently implement email marketing in Mailchimp.
Carry out segmentation, list building, and email drip campaigns/lead nurturing campaigns.
Track and report on email campaigns in order to guide improvements and establish the most effective path forward.
Ensure Mailchimp list integrity.
Develop content calendar and lead nurturing campaigns.
Collaborate on content creation including copy and design, ensuring the consistency of the brand.
Maintain regulatory compliance.

Other:

Manage Google Adwords (nonprofit account).
Support social media accounts including conducting social media audits to ensure best practices are being
used.
Provide content curation support.
Provide Social Media support.
Design collateral in support of the Philanthropy team.
Provide asset stack management - Smugmug, Drive/Dropbox
Report on email, website, ads.
Other duties as they arise and as we dream them up together.

What you’ll need to do this job:

3-5 years of experience working with Wordpress, including building pages, optimizing, SEO best practices, blog optimizing and posting.

3-5 years of experience with MailChimp as an email marketing platform, including lead gen forms and social media campaigns.

Experience with paid advertising on social media platforms.

3-5 years of experience utilizing Google Analytics and implementing best practices for tracking/reporting

BA/BS in Marketing with an emphasis in digital marketing, digital communications or equivalent experience, preferred

5 years previous digital marketing experience preferred.

Ability to handle multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously with excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, and clear communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).

A positive attitude, desire to learn, and a sense of humor.

A personal interest and commitment to SBS’ mission.

Experience with other Marketing tools that may include InDesign, Canva, Adobe creative suite, Google Tag Manager, Facebook Business Manager, SEMrush, HotJar, SEOmoz, Hootsuite, UpWork, Slack, WP Engine, Asana, Trello, G-suite.

Compensation:

This is a 24 hour/week position (3 Days @ 8 hours/each). Preference is for someone local in Boulder, CO who can be in the office 1-2 days a week (typically Tuesdays and Thursdays) but can work remote the rest of the time.

Pay rate is $25-35/hour, depending on experience.
