Job Title: Marketing Copywriter
Department: Creative Team
This role is Contract-to-Hire, 20hrs/week to start – onsite in the Denver Buhv Office

Job Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for drafting and editing copy for numerous clients and the Buhv businesses. We work with clients in a wide variety of industries with differing brand voices and you must be able to switch quickly between projects while ensuring these brand guidelines are consistently met. You will be writing copy for a variety of channels, including, but not limited to: website copy, paid advertising, paid social, organic social, landing pages, blogs, infographics, white papers, emails, and video scripts.

Under the direction of the Creative Director, you will work on several projects at a time and will be involved in all phases of client campaign development, with a focus on crafting copy from the ground up as well as editing existing or supplied copy. You may also be involved in new business projects and working on Buhv brand and related business marketing campaigns.

You are a talented Marketing Copywriter with the experience to conceptualize as well as translate and extend brand concepts to effective copy. Under the direction of a Creative Director, you receive moderate oversight and guidance, but you’re also a self-starter who relishes in creativity and curiosity.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Draft copy to be used for website and digital marketing campaign communications for clients and Buhv businesses, content types include: website, blogs, infographics, white papers, pay-per-click, paid social, and video scripting for paid advertising campaigns
- Edit drafted copy for spelling, grammar, and consistent voice across same verticals and client brand guidelines
- Adapt to brand voice nuances across varying channels, audiences, and segments, with the ability to go deep and remain credible for the various clients and verticals we work with
- Creatively link themes across marketing channels to tell a story and engage audience to convert
- Should be able to deliver polished work with no grammar or spelling errors in tight turnaround times

- Work enthusiastically, respectfully and collaboratively with other project team members, have a clear understanding of how a project teams operate, your responsibilities throughout a project and what is expected in creative reviews and team meetings
- Partner with designers, digital marketing team, and client stakeholders to ensure the project meets creative strategy/project objectives

Project Execution
- Consult with manager or project’s creative lead to evaluate individual project needs and proactively raise issues that may impact quality or timing of deliverables and offer solutions
- Actively participate in team meetings to discuss assignment parameters
- Ensure that internal deadlines, timetables, and approval procedures are adhered to for assigned project phases
- Manage and prioritizes work effectively, and proactively escalates conflicts with workloads
- Organize files within prescribed file structures

Community & Business Contribution
- Responsible for giving continuous feedback to peers and critical self-review
- Participate in and help plan culture-building events with other members of the Buhv team

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience
Besides a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent hands-on experience, you have the following:
- 2+ years’ experience writing marketing copy - long form & short form
- Strong writing portfolio showcasing a variety of writing samples spanning different advertising channels
- Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with taking an established or new brand voice and adapting writing style to grow and establish the right copywriting approach and tone
- Ability to deliver quality work with short turnaround times and a sense of humor
- Strong storytelling abilities
- Creative problem solver and quick thinker
- Excellent time management skills, can adhere to strict deadlines
- Superb grammar and spelling skills
