ABOUT ONE K CREATIVE:
One K Creative is a boutique creative studio, specializing in telling stories of social change. Combining writing, photography, filmmaking, and graphic design, we create compelling content to expand an organization’s reach and increase their social impact. From our headquarters in Boulder, CO we serve clients around the world, including maternal health organizations in Asia, coffee cooperatives in Africa, education programs in Latin America, and organic food companies in our own backyard. We are a passionate team of creatives, working resourcefully and collaboratively across mediums to help our clients create social change.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We're currently looking for an energetic, savvy, and resourceful filmmaker and photographer to join our team. Combining industry experience with project management, communication, and time management skills this position will be expected to uphold the reputation and contribute to the growth of our studio. Our lead filmmaker will manage the production of all film-related projects from ideation through funding and dissemination. The right candidate for the position will have 3-10 years of experience as well as have an unwavering and demonstrated passion for social and environmental justice.
FILMMAKING & PHOTOGRAPHY EXPERIENCE:
Demonstrated experience filming and photographing in marginalized communities is critical
Build storyboards, write scripts, organizing shot lists
Shoot on both personal and studio equipment
Serve as lead photographer and filmmaker for all shoots in Colorado, travel possible as available
Sophisticated post-production experience (such as animation, transcription, and kinetic text)
Collaborate with outside vendors as necessary
Preference will be given to those shooting on 4K equipment
Contribute to shooting and editing for client and studio projects, as necessary
PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE:
Serve as communication lead for clients on film projects with increasing frequency
Build and be accountable for project budgets
Manage production schedules
Recruit and manage intern support as necessary and with approval
