Description

Elementive is hiring for an entry-level, full-time Tech SEO and Analytics Associate who has familiarity with evaluating a website's technical structure, updating website front-end code (HTML/CSS/JS), updating graphics, and using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEM Rush, Moz, Hotjar, and similar. The candidate should also be comfortable working with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and should also possess other basic computer skills.

This position will help with tasks like conducting tech SEO audits, installing analytics tracking code, troubleshooting technical errors on websites, reporting on website and product data, updating copy, adjusting HTML and CSS code, making changes to websites, resizing images, and other administrative duties.

This position is intended for somebody with limited experience in website management, search engine optimization (SEO), user experience (UX), conversion optimization (CRO) and/or web development.

Job Description
The basic duties will involve these types of tasks:
-- Assist with set-up, install, and configuration of Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Google Analytics, and other analytics tools for client websites.
-- Assist in different aspects of the web development process, including technical SEO factors, web server settings and setting proper status codes, updating HTML pages, minifying JavaScript and CSS files, and testing website performance. As part of this, understand the importance of XML sitemaps, robots.txt files, crawl budgets, errors, and 301 redirects.
-- Work with Elementive team to monitor and investigate client sites regularly for technical SEO issues and other relevant errors using a variety of SEO tools, including analyzing backlinks to identify issues with spam and broken links.
-- Update client reports with new data, pulled from various analytics programs.
-- Conduct keyword research using various keyword research tools and provide content optimization recommendations.
-- Follow instructions to configure various tests, such as split tests and surveys.
-- Login to content management system, update text or images, per specs.
-- Update HTML pages with new content and images by directly altering HTML, CSS, and JS code.
-- Adjust photos through Photoshop (or similar program), such as adjusting text or images.
-- Help to prepare presentations in PowerPoint, including text edits and formatting cleanups.
-- Provide administrative support, such as organizing client folders, managing internal project schedules, note taking, drafting emails or data entry.
-- Keep track of latest news about SEO, UX, CRO, web development, and related fields and sharing thoughts/insights as relevant to client projects.

This is a full-time, exempt position. While you can establish your own schedule, we expect you to be available for meetings, collaborative work and as-needed conversations during normal business hours (Mon-Fri, 9a-5p Mountain). You will work remotely and will provide your own equipment (computer, internet connection, etc.). We will regularly meet with you to discuss tasks and deadlines, and also communicate regularly via IM and email. Some tasks will require same-day or one-day turnarounds, while others will have weekly or monthly deadlines. You are expected to complete all tasks by or before the stated deadline.

Skills & Experience
Experience:
This is an entry-level position and training will be provided to help you learn more about technical SEO and analytics. We expect the candidate to have about a year of experience managing and working with websites, along with having taken courses related to SEO, web development, analytics, etc. A college degree is not required but relevant experience is.

Skills required:
-- Ability to use, configure, and setup Google Analytics and related tools.
-- Understanding of HTML syntax and ability to make simple content changes without a WYSIWYG editor.
-- Understanding of CSS and proper ways to use CSS, including within responsive design.
-- Understanding of JavaScript and jQuery and ways to use both on a website.
-- Familiarity with how HTML, JavaScript and CSS relate to SEO, usability, and conversion optimization.
-- Ability to crop images and save images to a smaller file size and resolution for optimal web performance.
-- Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
-- Familiar with proofreading and providing edits.

Compensation
This will be a full time, exempt, salaried position. Compensation depends on candidate’s experience. Please state your preferred salary range in your cover letter.
