Description

We’re looking for an experienced creative lead to join our dynamic team of communicators. The successful candidate will define, apply and champion CU Denver’s institutional brand.

In this position, you’ll be responsible for the visual style and images presented within all aspects of the brand – digital, environmental and print. You’ll serve as the creative strategist, designer, educator and consultant for all brand expressions, such as logos, supporting graphics, video, photography, illustrations, signage elements, among other applications.

Additionally, you’ll create and execute effective overall design and collaborate with others who develop visual expressions, artwork or layouts for the university’s most visible communications. Further responsibilities include oversight for the overall style or tone desired for each project/application and ensuring alignment with established business needs, marketing strategies and goals, and audience insights. You’ll then guide the expression of those ideas and collaborate with colleagues to execute across all media.

As the champion of user-centric design, you’ll set and maintain the integrity of the university’s brand identity at every point of contact. You’ll onboard and educate leaders to routine users on how to apply brand standards and guidelines and provide tools and technical direction needed to ensure all communications reflect the image and core messages of CU Denver.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in design, communications, marketing, fine arts or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in brand/account management, advertising, graphic design, communications or field relevant to work performed
• Fluency in a variety of design tools, such as Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Bridge, Illustrator), Microsoft Office applications, in particular PowerPoint, or other related programs
