Like any good Gen Yer, I went through a quarter-life crisis after my first year as a "young professional". I was an accountant at a Fortune 500 insurance company. When I introduced myself to people I actually made a point to say "But I promise I'm not boring!" So I decided to go back to school to put my suppressed creativity to work. What started as a Masters in Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse (high hopes of becoming a freelance writer for the Wall Street Journal) became a Masters in New Media Studies specializing in online content when I realized that the future is online. So I am in transition. Working full time as a accountant at a small company in Chicago, interning part time at a study abroad non-profit doing web marketing and website maintenance, and going to grad school full time to graduate in June 2010. After graduation, I'm bound for the Mile High City to add some fresh air and hiking to my life. Boring I shall never be again!
