Freelance copywriter with reputation for delivering outside-the-lines B2B and B2C branding and marketing content. Known for humor and insight, I can make even the most mundane “eat-your-vegetables” messages seem savory, sweet and tangy. I write online and offline marketing materials (especially websites) for small and mid-size companies. I've also been known to wield a mighty pen for Fortune 500 companies, including Starbucks Coffee Company, REI and Seattle’s favorite software industry leader. Why Northwest companies? I'm a transplant from Seattle.

I am a content writer/social media manager experienced in authoring and editing content for a wide variety of audiences and purposes including marketing collateral, brand awareness, event promotion, news features, and search engine optimization. I have 10+ years of professional experience including copywriting, social media management, proofreading, creative writing, sales, customer service and office management. I am passionate about staying on the cutting edge of changing trends in communication and using creative expression to drive business results. In my most recent position as a Content Writer at a four-year art college, I was responsible for the creation of original marketing copy and journalism style content, as well as updates on existing content, across multiple internal and external college communication channels. These included the public website, private intranet, social media accounts, press releases, marketing collateral, company-wide weekly newsletter, monthly alumni newsletter, and quarterly parent publication. I served as the voice of the college by writing news articles on topics of interest to the school community, in addition to managing the Facebook page and Twitter feed. I nearly tripled the number of Facebook fans and nearly doubled the number of Twitter followers during my tenure. I played an integral role in establishing the company intranet by helping to determine user needs, information architecture, and writing/maintaining content. I have an M.A. in Journalism from the University of South Florida and a B.A. in Theatre from Florida State University. I’ve lived in Denver for two years and absolutely love it here. Full resume and writing samples available upon request.

Looking for brand messaging or website writing? I dance well with two types of companies. The first group... they're my visionaries. Their communication kicks butt and takes names. They love working with outside experts for the competitive edge. The second? Frustrated business owners. They crave more leads, conversions, sales. Their competitors are grabbing their business. They despise writing. They’re sick of being stuck. Want to explore? Please visit my website.

Technically speaking, Ashley is well-versed in style and formatting guides including those dictated by the AP, Chicago, MLA, APA and Turabian style guides, and she’s just as happy to follow your in-house style guides. She specializes in corporate communication and academic work, but no project is too big or too small. Copywriting services are also available.

Brent Rinne

Four years ago, on a brisk, clear November morning in St. Louis, I climbed into a half-full Budget truck and left home for Cincinnati. The plan was to load up on experience in a retail-and-packaged goods hotbed for a few years then see where things led. The trail ended six months later when agency owners in Toronto closed our office. My options were to stay and explore, or head back to familiar territory. I chose well. In the years since, I've made lifelong friends, met my match, and embraced independence after a layoff in April 2010. I have worked in agencies small and large, on business of equal measure, writing mostly for print, direct mail, out-of-home, Web, and radio. I have also helped conceive and coordinate two awards shows. Today, I lend a hand, mind and opinion to advertising and branding agencies throughout the city, and learn new lessons about creativity, gumption, and taxes every day; however, my interests extend further, beyond anything I've experienced so far. Which is why my fiancée and I are answering the call and moving to Denver, bringing with us all that we've learned and the passion to discover even more. Until then, cheers and have fun.

Brian Marabello

Carolyn Permentier

I am a student of life. People are fascinating! I love words. How they can express (or get close) deep human emotions we all share as members of the human family. As an actor, long before I knew I was a writer, I portrayed human emotion by feeling my charcters' pain, joy, sorrow or adventure. And, as a writer, I use words to connect with people. Words are powerful, as they take on the meaning of the person speaking them. It's an honor and a responsibility to know that I touch others with my words! I consider my understanding of people and of Nature my greatest gifts. And when I can connect with another in-person or in writing ... I am humbled. To Words!

Dave Fymbo

It’s been said that to be a great creative you have to be part salesman and part entertainer. But that’s not all. To be a great copywriter you have to make love to the English language, yet never make your wife jealous. Write hot, edit cold. Eschew obfuscation. Avoid adverbs. You have to be a cook. You have to make sure your ideas are fully baked and then boiled down to their essence. And then be prepared to chop them up some more. Honesty is mandatory. Dedication is a given. And though it’s not necessary, it helps to be nice. But that’s not all. After you pack all of that into your day, you must sleep long enough to have interesting dreams. I suppose it would help if I had a great radio voice. But nobody’s perfect.

Dave Laskarzewski

Leslie Shaffer

Associate Creative Director/Writer who specializes in interactive, social and ideas. I’m a word lover and a conceptual thinker. I thrive in grey areas—pulling ideas and inspiration from different places and people then mashing them together to see what happens. I’ve been described as a strategic creative, which I think fits. I’ve also been described as “curious.” It’s unclear whether this word is used to capture my insatiable desire to discover or if people are just calling me weird. (Probably both.)

LeVar Battle

Community engagement is at the core of my experience. With a conversational approach, I bring people together through a voice they can cozy up to. My unique background as a writer in marketing/advertising, video production, and management has allowed me to embrace the ever-changing landscape of online content management. Marlana Beste

It’s nice to meet you, I'm Marly. I am an innovatively original copywriter who lives amongst the foothills in the suburbs of Denver, Colorado. With over 4 years of experience in the creative advertising realm, I have worked on everything from press releases and sales letters to articles and blog posts and can deliver a pitch-perfect message - cleverly - at the right price. My secret is simple. I write for an audience. I know my key demographic and I write for it. It may sound basic, but the results are targeted, avant-garde, and feverishly focused. With my help, you can make your project shine.

Maro LaBlance Lee

Maro - lover of all things social, beautiful, and intelligent. The first six years of my career were in market research project management, which means structure, organization, and logic are imbedded in my very being. At one time, I actually uttered the words “I love processes.” And I meant it. (OK fine and I still do.) But where I really thrive is in a creative and social work environment. I love playing with designs, words, and new media. I love developing relationships...partnerships...and connecting with other people over a mutual love for the products with which we work. And what really makes my heart go pitter patter, is when I’m able to take something that is beautiful, share it socially so the rest of the world can also fall in love with it, and do so in an intelligent manner. In other words, marketing.

While working on brands such as Levis, Maytag, Celestial Seasonings, Curves, and Proctor & Gamble, Mary developed a reputation for creating compelling strategies and campaigns that were particularly effective at connecting with women. Mary has won multiple honors from the Advertising Women of New York for contributing to the positive portrayal of women and has also been recognized nationally and internationally by the Clios, ADDYs, The One Show, Communication Arts, Archive, and the EFFIES. Mary was the author of the campaign that launched the Curves women’s fitness franchise from a grassroots organization to a worldwide phenomenon. During the five years she led their advertising, Curves grew from 1,500 locations to over 7,000. In April of 2007, she left her position as VP/Creative Director at Publicis to found KickSkirt, one of the nation’s first agencies specializing in marketing to women. KickSkirt immediately attracted national clients such as New Balance, Genworth Financial, & Abbott Labs. A frequent and popular presenter at national and international conferences, Mary has delivered keynotes on the art of connecting with women at forums as far away as Dubai and Sweden. She graduated from Emory University and Portfolio Center where she was a Dean’s List Student and the recipient of the Portfolio Award respectively. She lives in Austin with her husband and two great kids.

Maurice Pendarvis

As an inherently creative and analytical person who is interested in film, art, video games, photography, music, technology, fashion and anything creative. For five years at The Lambesis Agency, I gained experience working on multiple large domestic and international brands. As Senior Copywriter, I wrote short and long form copy, taglines, and also conceptualized TV commercials, radio spots and brand videos. While at Vapors magazine, I held the position of Editor-In-Chief. Under my guidance, I improved the tone, and the look and feel, resulting in an increase of advertising sales, subscriptions, and popularity. I was in charge of a team of freelance writers and photographers and chose guest artists for special edition issues. I used the experience I gained from the Lambesis Agency to push the creative value of each issue. Recently, I held positions of Copywriter and Online Editor for The Hundreds apparel brand. Here, I wrote product descriptions for the online store each season, press releases, and handled light public relation duties. I also was in charge of contacting and interviewing tastemakers for the brand’s weekly online magazine, The Chronicles. I also was Global Marketing Director for Royal Elastics Footwear, where part of my responsibilities included conceptualizing our seasonal look book and our print ads plus maintaining the brands social media networking and Blog posts. I also was in charge of hiring and overseeing a team of freelance photographers, graphics designers, etc. I have traveled parts of North America, Europe, Mexico and Asia to experience different cultures to expand on my creativity.

Michael Tully - (941) 920 4842

The "800-pound gorilla" in the room ... yeah, well, I'm the one poking it with a stick. Always have been, always will be. Sure, sometimes I incite some small-scale demolition but more often than not that "gorilla" is pulled straight into line. You'd be amazed at the hi-jinks to be had with a plus-sized primate in tow. In the wrong hands such power could be diabolical, but in my capable hands it is, well, slightly less diabolical. I was raised on movies, television and radio (making me a pretty solid addition to any trivia team) by two loving parents (making me relatively well adjusted) in Australia (making me sound like a classier Steve Irwin after a few beers). I can write and juggle and tell you what a mind-blowing sight it is to see flushed toilet water spinning the "other way". I find cliches generally funny, but try my best not to lean on them in my work and have long-since given up using kangaroo pouches for transport or wearing koalas as shoes. Copywriter. Content Manager. Editor. Funny Talker.
