This is beautiful type, but it sort of galls me in the way that a Chiptole placemat smothered in band names galls me: no sensible person likes all this music at once, it's word soup, a wall of stickers over the register at Guitar Center: "I like everything! Rock and Roll! Country! R&B! Hip Hop! No you do not, no-one with taste likes all that music at once. "The Pixies! The Eagles! Elvis! Vanilla Ice! Depeche Mode!" As a designer and a person who often functions on pure aesthetic, it really hurts me to say this, but: design loses beauty when it's divorced from meaning.
I wouldn't say "no one." Oh, wait, you said "no sensible person." ;) I guess I can handle that: Sensible is not one of my more coveted descriptors.
When I was a kid, I dreamed of owning a radio station that would play classical one minute, jazz the next and rock the next. I still like a really eclectic mix of music.
I think the idea was to create a room that is musically inspirational, a room that would spark creativity by pulling ideas from the greatest in the music industry. Not simply a room showcasing the developer's favorite music.
dopeness! i wish i had that in my music room
