3 Big Rebrands: Who Shoulda, Who Shouldn'ta?
Three major rebrands have been rolled out over the last couple weeks, including ebay, Arby's and Wendy's. What do you think of the work? Who should have stayed with what they had and who made the right choice?

Despite popular opinion, I think ebay is an improvement. The tight kerning is awkward and I'm so sick of the color scheme, but they are obviously playing it safe as hell with such a worldwide and iconic brand.
Arby's - no way. What the hell is this?
Wendy's - definitely good. I like the illustration - simple yet still harkens back to Wendy's. The type is ok...fun and inviting.
been waiting for this.
ebay is a downgrade.
arbys is fucking awful. even tho mcds is terrible for you at least there branding upgrades are setting them far apart.
wendy's is a nice upgrade. will be interesting to be how they translate it in other tactics.
the old ebay logo wasn't awesome but it was recognizable. i don't like it and need to see it in context to see if there are bigger plans for it's implementation/execution.
the arby's logo feels like another step in the wrong direction. i'm not sure why you would loose Egyptian serifs on a typeface and keep a cowboy hat. that sends mixed messages. i miss the old lockup. it worked and was also very memorable.
i do like the wendy's illustration, it's very youthful. i don't understand why you would also drop slab serifs from a logo and switch to a script. if this new logo was the title of a children's book, i would say it's a win.
all in all, not a fan of any of these three new logos. so far this year, i would say only USA Today has improved their brand system.
ebay: Ugh. They effectively took a playful and iconic logo and set it in booooooooooooooooring.
Arby's: Someone bought Photoshop, now think they are a designer, applied some filters and put a square peg in a round hole.
Wendy's: Nice. Clean and inviting. Lost some old-timey-ness but it looks like a place you'd want to eat at.
guess I'm in the minority here:
Always thought the ebay logo was one of the ugliest in history... this, like almost anything, is an improvement.
Arby's, first year 3d student work?
wendy's, so they ditched the 1900s for... the 1990s? looks like a logo for a cheesy midwestern yarn and craft store, and simultaneously throws their image as the more "down to earth" burger joint in the trash. I liked the old logo. oh well.
