"You Are a Computer Salesman. I am Fucking JAMES BOND!"

Our pal Richard Feldman sent us this image of a letter supposedly sent from Sean Connery to Steve Jobs in 1998 after Jobs asked the then James Bond to appear in one of Apple's commercials. Fake or real, it made our day.

True story about Mr. Connery:

While filming in Vancouver, his rider stipulated that he be allowed access to a country club and be able to play golf without being bothered by members. At the end of the shoot, he would then play a final round of golf, and then hang out in the clubhouse to sign autographs for club members.

A friend's country club was approached and agreed.

True to his word, Sean shows up for a final round of golf and heads to the clubhouse where this friend and his buddies were having beers. After enough liquid courage, a member of the group approached Connery and told him that, while he didn't want an autograph, he did want to know about Mr. Connery's greatest sexual conquest.

"After all, you're James Fucking Bond!"

Well, Connery's manager pushed the guy back to his barstool and that was that. Until. as Connery was leaving the clubhouse he walked by the guy and whispered in his ear - "Paris. 1968. Petula Clark. Up the ass."

Funnier with a good Connery brogue, but a classic story nonetheless.

People still used typewriters in 1998?

I was still hand writing in 1998. Still trying to figure out why school and work and life and such was such a backwards struggle.

This Internet idea, whosevers vision, isn't cracked up to no operators crash functioning. In last ditch efforts for reasonable coexistance, communications, exclusivity and a vehicle to arrive where you might have never arrived or been able to achieve alienated by yourself and no means in a corsive environment.

Another GREAT story worth.

Sean Connery is definitely a man of distinction of all time and tops status. He even remembered the date the full name and how he got it.
