The Atheist Bus Campaign

Apparently, atheists run advertising too. And their headline offers a pretty interesting thought at that. The Atheist Bus Campaign launched today, Tuesday October 21. They’ve managed to raise £5,500 to purchase 30 buses across London for four weeks with the slogan: “There’s probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life.” Even if there is a God, shouldn’t you be enjoying life anyway? Might be the wrong blog for that discussion.

awesome. Imagine the sensationalist news reporting that would cause in the US.

I just saw Bill Maher’s Religulous. I would suggest anyone see it.

This ad fails. There’s no connection between headline and subhead. They might as well say, “There is no answer to male-pattern baldness. Now go enjoy your life.” Or “No celebrity has died from a random Stingray attack this year. Now go out and enjoy your life.”

They claim they’re trying to help people think for themselves, but this just comes across as misplaced anger at church advertisements.

It should say
“There is no God. So if this bus bursts into flames, tough shit.”

Only those who dont believe will fail to see. But who cares, Im just trying to scare you with my sensational stories of torture and betrayal. And by see, I was referring to the truth. What ever makes ya happy.

Agreed J… if they’re going to say anything.. say “there is no god”… why throw “probably” in there.. There is or there isn’t.
