    Here's the second film created for Boulder's Climate Reality Project's "I Am Pro Snow" initiative, which enlists winter sports professionals to band together to educate the community on climate change. The client, along with Denver's Otherworldly Productions who shot the piece, captured a depressed snowflake alongside pro freeskiers Mark Abma, Michelle Parker and Adventurer Doug Stoup — jawing about our weather-frenetic world.

  • An Early Spring Update from Denver Photographer Benjamin Rasmussen

    Benjamin Rasmussen will be traveling around the country this summer. If you want him to swing by with his book — which we'd highly suggest — just drop him a line. Here's what he's been up to so far this year.

    Benjamin was named one of PDN’s 30 New and Emerging Photographers to Watch, along with 29 other great shooters. There has also been a lot of movement with By The Olive Trees, a project about the lives of Syrian refugees in Jordan that Benjamin shot with one of his favorite photographers/people, Michael Friberg. It has been shortlisted for the Leica Oskar Barnac Award and images from it were selected for the American Photography Annual, AP30. The duo produced an 80-page publication that will be launching on April 19 at the TGIF Gallery in Queens, New York City.

    In January, Benjamin was in El Nido, Philippines shooting a travel story for Outside Magazine. It was a drama-filled three days with pounding rain, gale force winds, and about 90 minutes of good light. Take a peek at what I came away with here.

    Late last year Benjamin shot a campaign for TINCUP Whiskey, which was recently launched by the folks who brought you Jose Cuervo. Benjamin hung out with TINCUP’s maker, wandering through the Colorado mountains to discover the landscape that inspired the whiskey’s creation.

    Office messes are an unavoidable part of life in the workplace. Clumsy co-workers spilling coffee, ink cartridge catastrophes, office parties gone wild. It’s all fun until someone drops Susan’s retirement cake. Fortunately, the office slobs of the world have a formidable opponent with janitorial services powerhouse Facility Cleaning International. Image Brew was tasked by Denver agency Arrae to concept and produce a couple of commercial spots to promote Facility Cleaning International’s commitment to beautifully clean office spaces.

    "FCI will primarily be using this spot to engage potential clients at trade shows. So we endeavored to create something that would be visually stimulating without an overtly salesy feel—we wanted to make FCI stand out in the abyss of typical trade show media. Our concept: Leave the tragedy to the opera. We utilized the hypnotic effect of high-speed cinematography to capture office mess tragedies."

    "After seeing The Grand Budapest Hotel, I felt compelled to create artwork based on the sensory overload of beautiful imagery. My tribute to this stunning film is a pattern featuring 32 moments from the story. I drew everything from memory rather than photo references to add a playful element to the artwork. It wasn't until I started drawing these illlos that I realized the excessive amount of blood in this film. Freaking awesome."
