It actually wasn't a failed bid: Denver was awarded the Winter Games but turned it down (the only city to do so I believe).

Can you verify the credit line on the poster? Interested if it shows Massimo or Unimark. Much of the bid work was split between Unimark and John Rieben in Denver.

Can't verify it. Came across a tweet from @gary_hustwit mentioning it. @tomcrabtree later mentioned he got it for $50 on Craigslist. Insane...
