Denver's Premier Comedy Group Brings Sitcom Opportunity Home

/ Comments (7)

Those Who Can't is a sitcom pilot created and written by Adam Cayton-Holland, Ben Roy and Andrew Orvedahl — also known as the Denver-based comedy group The Grawlix. The pilot was optioned by Amazon Studios in 2012 and premieres TODAY on Amazon's website. Watch it here and give it a vote.

The pilot will be available free for a full month on Amazon Instant Video. Shot entirely in Denver by directors Evan and Adam Nix, who also edited the project, the pilot utilizes local crew and actors as well as nationally known comic actors Kyle Kinane, Rory Scovel and Nikki Glaser. Those Who Can't was produced in conjunction with Denver-based Image Brew and 3Arts Entertainment (Louie, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia), and stars the members of The Grawlix as three delinquent public school teachers fighting to stay employed at the floundering Buchanan High School.

If the show gets picked up and production stays in Colorado, this could be a huge opportunity for the local creative community. Vote it up, baby.

This is one of the funniest pilots I've ever seen. It better get picked up!

Teacher: "We speak the Queen's Spanish in my class"
Student: "You're a queen."
Teacher: "GraTHias!"

Ha!

This was awesome. And I used to be a teacher.

Go Denver comedy!

Wow.

This was ok, but Betas and Alpha House were both great.

Closer to cutting the cord with an Amazon Prime membership.

Marketing Pro Tip: Don't nauseate your audience with daily posts about your project.

Hard to fault them for being excited. This is a potential career changer for everyone involved.

I worked on this pilot. So glad to see it getting so much love, we definitely put our sweat into it.
