Making Colorado is Looking for a Team of the Top 12 Designers, Copywriters, Art Directors + Technologists
The State of Colorado is now accepting applications for the “Making Colorado Creative Team” — a 12-person collective of the state’s best designers, copywriters, art directors and technologists that will work on an initiative created by Gov. John Hickenlooper to help redefine how the world sees and hears about Colorado.
The Creative Team is a core component of Making Colorado — the most inclusive, collaborative and ambitious branding effort ever undertaken by a state. Rather than hiring a single "place branding" agency, Making Colorado is tapping into the energy and expertise of multiple agencies and Coloradans across this state to build a brand for Colorado, by Colorado.
Selected and led by Dave Schiff, founder of marketing agency Made Movement, the Creative Team will use public input to develop verbal and visual concepts that will be presented to the public for feedback. In addition to Schiff, Adweek “Creative Director of the Decade” and Boulder resident Alex Bogusky will serve as an advisor to the Creative Team.
Complete details on how to apply for a position on the Making Colorado Creative Team can be found at www.makingcolorado.gov/#timeline/call-for-creatives. Applicants will be evaluated based on their professional skill set, experience, creative point of view and personal passion for Colorado. Making Colorado will accept applications through April 29 and the final team will be announced on May 14.
The Creative Team is not a full-time position. The positions are a two-month commitment, from May 14 through July 15, with up to six mandatory in-person workshops. Members will receive an honorarium for their time and exclusive incentives from Colorado companies.
