#AppLaunch: New Belgium Beer Mode – Via Boulder's Made

/ Comments (4)

Social media sometimes feels like it's taking over our lives. Most of the time, we can't even tune out long enough to enjoy a a nice cold brew. Enter: Beer Mode — a useful, hilarious new iPhone app designed to help from New Belgium Brewing and Made Movement.

Beer Mode essentially takes over your social media, auto-posting preselected messages to Facebook and/or Twitter so you can give beer your undivided attention. In short, it's the “anti-app” app: you can finally put down your phone, pick up a pint, and your social media followers and friends will be none the wiser. It's a real-time alibi for those times when you just want to enjoy a brew, tweet free.

Gotta love all the 5-star reviews from New Belgium and Made employees. Way to keep it classy guys.

Seems very CP+B. Just don't think smaller brands should be shelling out for these kinds of disposable experiences.

That is an awfully large credit list for what amounts to be a pretty disposable use it once and forget it kinda app.

Pretty nice looking but I have to agree that ad agencies shouldn't be doing this kind of stuff anymore if they want to be taken seriously as product designers. This is microsite-era digital marketing and it does little else but build agency portfolios and get some trade press.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
