Sean Topping + Holly Menges Launch New Denver Agency, Grit.

Dear Egotist People,

I am writing to tell you that I have started a new agency with partner, Sean Topping. Sean was most recently Creative Director at Karsh + Hagan. We felt our combined experience in the outdoor, travel and tourism, fashion and packaged goods industries, and our creative mad skills, plus a tendency toward questioning assumptions and getting cranky when given rules to follow, was a recipe for a new kind of agency that Denver needs. (Right? Denver needs yet another shop don't ya think? With cranky creatives??)

We have heard from several different clients that there is a disconnect between what their agency is providing and what they really need. Our team works with our clients throughout the incubation period to get to the gold in a more collaborative way. Which means we find big crazy ideas faster, that are targeted and on strategy very early on in the process. The front end cycle of presentations and revisions and presentations and revisions etc, to eventually getting the green light, is compressed tremendously with our model. Great stuff gets out faster, which means there's more time to get out even more great stuff.

We call it 'ideas in execution.' Because it's one thing to just have ideas, it's another to execute great ones as quickly as today demands. So at any given time we are coming up with new ideas—while also executing approved ones. Whether that be a video, website, social or digital campaigns or traditional formats.

We are Grit. Find us at www.madewithgrit.com.

Congrats Sean and Holly, you're both very talented. Best of luck.

Good luck, guys. Holly, your photo is super hot. Sean, I stole your Nerf gun.

Super exciting!

Congratulations...can't wait to see your work!

Zang!

I know that Sean and Holly do incredible work. So glad they're launching Grit...I'm sure it will be a HUGE success!

This is so exciting - congratulations!!!

Yay!!! Congrats!!! Wooohoooo!!! I'm doing the wave right now...that's how excited I am.

Sean is a Killa. Holly is a Thrilla.

This should be awesome.

GET SOME GRIT!

great, more competition. ;-)

congrats and good luck. i'm sure you'll do gangbusterish.

Good luck to you both! Congratulations.

Congrats you two. You'll definitely be an amazing force of awesomeness for Denver.

Looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with. And love the name. Though I hate grits.

Congrats, guys.

And BTW, you're not fooling me. I know the story behind your promo pic.

Nothing like filthy ad execs! Congrats!!! Break the mold!

This should definitely be awesome...

With all this talk about having creative mad skills and kicking ass, they better not lay an egg. Sorry, but this all came off as a little arrogant to me.

One other thing. I know it's only a part of the URL and not the actual name, but couldn't they have thought of something better than "made"? Reminds me of the other new local agency that threw "Goodness" into their name. C'mon people, get original. It's your job. With this kind of flair for the fresh, it won't be long before we see someone opening the doors on Crispin Porter + McGillicuddy. Or how 'bout the new creative powerhouse, Cactus Jack's Goodness Factory.

Holly looks smokin hot!

Good luck Grit !

I could barely understand that post. It read a little too JV for me. Obviously I wish anyone stepping out the best of luck. But in my opinion, clients see right through this sort of dialogue. I'd put forth a little more clarity into your approach and the results you're seeing it yield.

Just an opinion.

Sean Topping is one of the gritiest creative thinkers I know. Look out Denver, a new creative powerhouse is coming to town. Best of luck you two.

Rad!, Congrats you two!

LOVE this. Congrats you guys.

Guts and Grit — love it!

Make no mistake... they will kick ass.

I have faith that these two are going to make Denver suck less.

Ryan nailed it. I'm glad I'm not the only one whose head was spinning a little after reading the post. Not trying to hate, but the agency's approach could have been explained in a simpler, clearer fashion.

These are the sexiest agency owners in Colorado.

And the fact they shower together makes it hotter.

That's awesome! Good luck! (Not that you need it.) By the way, great pic, who was the shooter?

Congratulations, Holly!

Joel, thank you for asking. It was Stephen Ramsey, I should have mentioned it. http://www.stephenramsey.com
He is wonderful.
Thank you and, everyone, for your support.

This is awesome. I had the pleasure of working on a site for Visit Denver with Sean while he was at K/H and he was a great guy from start to finish. He knows interactive and communicates his visions well. I have no doubt he'll be killing it at his new shop. Really exciting stuff!

Congratulations Holly. You'll do great. We're rooting for you.

Congratulations! dig the sandpaper cards, love the pic. guess i'm a fan already.

It takes a huge amount of courage to start up a new agency and any time someone works up that amount of guts they should be encouraged. Congratulations guys. I wish you the very best.

Woo hoo! We're so excited for you two.
