Colorado Creative Industry Recognition: Communication Arts Design Annual 2012
Congratulations are due to two local firms for landing their work in the newly-released CA Design Annual 53. John Carlson Design's packaging for local restaurant group Big Red F's Top Rope Mexican-Style craft lager is recognized in the packaging section. And Genesis' manifesto book for client Steelcase, meant to position the company for the next century on their 100th anniversary, is featured in the institution brochures area.
On a related note, with all the great working going on around these parts, it's interesting to see how little of it is featured in what we still consider an important mark of creative excellence. Why is that? Do you not submit your work? Is it because of time, the expense of entry or because you don't find value in the potential of winning? Or is competition that stiff for inclusion in CA? We're interested in why Colorado isn't better represented.
