The Story and Identity Behind the Wynkoop Beer Brewed for Create Denver Week

At 5pm yesterday, Wynkoop Brewing Company released a new beer, Catalyst Ale, brewed especially for Create Denver Week — May 10-13. The 20-barrel batch ale will be available for purchase at pubs around town, while supplies last, to include the Wynkoop, City O'City, Watercourse Foods, Lost Lake, Hi Dive, Ale House at Amato's, Illegal Pete's (downtown location), Breckenridge Tap House on Blake Street and many more.

Catalyst Ale is an unfiltered extra pale ale made with 100% Colorado-grown malts, locally grown hops from Voss Farms, and was fermented with the “house” yeast from seven different Denver breweries: Wynkoop Brewing, Breckenridge Brewery, Strange Brewing, Renegade Brewing, Denver Beer Co, Great Divide Brewing Company, and Wit’s End Brewing. The Catalyst Ale logo was created by Denver's Design & Image, custom-made tap handle from beetle kill pine are by The Public Works, letterpress coasters are by MATTER, and the documentary telling the story behind the beer is from Free Mind Productions.
