The Aviation Cocktail: A New Film Shot in Denver that Uses Local Crew and Talent

/ Comments (5)

The Aviation Cocktail, written and to be directed by Colorado native David R. Higgins, is a dramatic thriller set in the late 1950s. Loosely based on his family's aviation history, the story centers around three war vets dealing with rural life after WWII. Cast, crewed, shot and soon to be released in Colorado (it's in post now), the film will highlight the fruited beauty of the often overlooked, but majestic Colorado Plains.

The Pilot's Lounge is an independent production company working outside the Hollywood system, so support the film when you see it hit the screen.

Looks great, but a film set in the late-fifties should not have scenes with a Schwinn Sting Ray bike. Unless this is a time travel film.

Hmmm...

It's got that independent organ and xylophone drone and I think she should have been paid more than all the others, including the makers, for that bathroom scene, because it looked really real like it happened with the angle and movements!

Either way looks good, I'd watch it.

After watching this you'll say, "I did not see that coming!"

This is only the trailer they used to raise money for the film. I heard, the actual film was mostly shot in Nebraska with a crew from allover... I guess that's LIKE Colorado.

Are you sure it was a bunch of select pig heads from Nebraska or Wyoming? I mean the single kind that are over nite approved!
