Huge congratulations go out to CP+B and Digitas who have been announced as winners of Cannes Grand Prix Lions in both the Promo & Activation and Direct categories minutes ago. The agencies were awarded for their work on American Express' "Small Business Gets an Official Day" campaign — which encourages Americans to spend money with local retailers on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend (the day after Black Friday). The AmEx-invented holiday was lauded for rallying both business owners and public officials, after U.S. President Barack Obama participated in it, taking his daughters to a bookstore near the White House. This work is being created right here in Boulder, folks. Super impressive.
