Lil' Wayne Releases Video Featuring Skeletons in a Movie Theater and References to Semi-Automatic Guns

When rapper Lil' Wayne released his latest single on Thursday, he likely thought that the scene where he and some friends are singing in a movie theater filled with skeletons was supposed to be fresh and unusual.

Given the fact that just hours later, a crazed gunman went on a fatal shooting spree in a Colorado movie theater, the decision seems an ill-timed one.

Adding to the inappropriate timing is the fact that the second line of the song makes mention of a semiautomatic gun- saying 'no click click'- which was one of the weapons that shooter James Holmes used to fire off his quick and fatal rounds.

Yuck. This should be pulled down. More on Daily Mail.

Why even bring attention to this? If the music video released before the incident then the correlation doesn't exist, right?

Because if enough people make a showing against it, maybe he'll pull it down. Doesn't matter if the correlation comes after the video's release.

Seems silly. Why don't you focus your misplaced raged some place more productive?

I agree with Ego, to really make an impact on society to stop breeding these maniacs we need to be stringent against the glorification of evil. So I would say that being proactive against these "entertainment" types is very productive. Man!, am I sick of these cowards posting as anonymous. Don't you anons have anything more constructive to do than be destructive with your time! Its time our society get real about what is causing the outbreak of violence. Killing, raping, and other ills have been desensitized by our media outlets including movies and games, people have become numb/confused to seeing these things, it's sad.

interesting:studios doing what is decent in light of what happened

sorry jared but in case you missed just about any movie or seen any videogame in the last 10 years we are headed in the other direction.

RPG shooter games? hmm, its going to be hard to cut down that money tree

I like your disembodied body parts book, Jared. For the record... it didn't desensitize me.

everyone is a hypocrite in some way

Completely agree with Jared.

As for the studios, removing one repugnant scene won't go too far to stem an escalating culture of violence. But I guess it's a start.

At Least Their Real Friends Escaped the Mall and the Dr.'s Office...!

Hopefully this finally brings to light that his music is actually in fact, trash. And always has been...

well i think lil wayne had nothing to do wit it all tho its kind of freaky how its 12 skeletons and 12 dead bodies all at the movies kind of freaky dont u think...but i also think maybe james homles copied off of the video...when he seen dat clip of the movies maybe it tiggerd something n him who knows
