The Denver 50 2011 Winners
Submissions from this year's 50 — Ad Club Denver's recognition of the fifty best ideas in Colorado as voted by judges Scott Goodson, Steffan Postaer, Steve Pacheco, Tim Malbon and Luke Sullivan — come from 32 different agencies and 19 agencies take the honor of the top 50 best ideas. We went to the party last night and had a pretty rip-roaring time. You may even have danced with us at the after party, so thanks for not making us feel awkward.
Once again, a handful of agencies really dominated the show, including Barnhart, Cactus, CCT Advertising, Integer, Karsh Hagan and Sukle. We'd love your impressions of the work, the show and whether this idea of an awards show without categories is still standing the test of time. Thanks again for all the hard work you put into everything, ad club. It really showed.

Oh sweet. My name was left off a campaign I literally spent over 1000 hours on visually rebranding a client's entire marketing program.
But I'm not bitter.
I'm mortified. Everyone who worked on this knows that Larry Leung was a huge part of not just the pieces, but the overarching idea. Especially me. Larry worked his ass off on this, hand-lettering the type for the first several executions, enduring countless revisions and even redesigned the logo. I have had my name left off pieces in the past I've done and there is no worse rack to the psyche. All I can say is that it was a horrific oversight on my part, I take complete responsibility and Larry deserved much better.
Okay, Egotist. You may now release the wolves.

Sorry, human error. Good job LL.
Some nice work here. Are these shows getting better or worse year after year?
The show's on the rise again.
The Wyoming Youth Suicide Prevention is powerful. Social Animals guide for American Crew looks juicy. Sukle's goodwill outdoor is strong (my faves are the top two).
Next year, hope to see more integrated campaigns and more digital.
I'd like to thank Jennifer Hohn for contacting me and offering to correct the online credits for the WOW! work.
I'd like to thank everyone who went above and beyond for The Fifty. Submissions were up almost fifty percent this year and the competition to get an idea into The Fifty was very high. Our judges were also some of the most respected ad industry leaders from around the world. Congratulations to everyone who made it. Here's to even more great ideas from Colorado next year.
Thanks for coming out last Thursday night to celebrate. It was excellent to see so much of the ad scene there. Hope everyone had a good time at Matchbox with AD2 as well. Major props to our DJ, Jeff Sloan. And also to Nate Watkin of Definite Productions for pulling off the winner videos with limited time. Huge thanks to Dan Chick of WebKit for creating this year's online winners' gallery and to Great Big Color for the work displays.
Ryan Johnson of Vladimir Jones and I really appreciate all the work that Bryce Boyer and Spillt did with us on the campaign photography and video. It's still getting great international exposure for The Fifty. I also want to sincerely thank Burns Marketing, Vladimir Jones, The Denver Egotist, Jay Weise, Tonja Roth, Karanne Burdick, Jerod Bunjer, Erica McCary of Burns Marketing, Post Modern, XYZ Graphics, Radical Artists Agency, Vision Graphics, Spicers Paper, Akavit, Debbie Clapper of Gneural, Evan Pollock of Blorp Corp, Stephen Zinn, Ryan Bramwell, Curt Cooper and team at Spillt, Jamie Barkly, Katelyn Simkins, Sign Language, C&D Printing, Creative Alignments, Reese St. German, Ryan Lee and LeeReedy/Xylem, The Sherman Event Center, EXDO Event Center, and everyone else that made The Fifty happen.
(Happy to help Gyro out Cameron. Larry, we've got you in the annual's pdf download now and will also be adding you to the online gallery as we make our other site updates.)
A lot of planning and behind the scenes efforts that aren't noticed or appreciated. Good job committee and Jennifer!
Where can we see the photos that were taken by the guy running around taking group shots at the Fifty?
The very awesome Wes should have photos from The Fifty posted to Ad Club Denver's Facebook page early next week. He's been busy shooting with Bryce Boyer.
